1password vs lastpass vs bitwarden7/10/2023 This particular feature is not very common with other password management softwares. Lastpass automates form filling and password generation, along with site-sharing, site logging and two-factor authentication through various methods. In case the master password is missing, LastPass allows a password hint, pre-set by the user, thereby making access simple and hassle-free. It stores passwords in encrypted form and lets you access them through various options like its browser extensions, mobile apps or simply via logging in to your Lastpass account by using just one master password. It is a available with the free subscription.Lastpass stores your passwords online and prepopulates them automatically when needed. It is nice 1Password has the Psst! feature but Bitwarden's send is much easier/quicker/better for me. 1Password now has the Psst! thing, which I think is a terrible name. I very much do like Bitwarden's Send mechanism, for sending temporary secure information to yourself or others through a URL. 1Password far out shines them in this area as well. There has only been a couple of times where it wasn't flawless, but it was quickly done with a refresh of the browser etc.Īnother issue at Bitwarden I've not been pleased with is the lack of variety for different secure note, credit card, bank account, etc. It is supposed to happen through a push and/or a background sync, but I don't find that it does.Ĭontrasting with 1Password I am pleased at the syncing speed with all devices, iphone, ipad, Linux, MacOS, web browsers, etc. This is usually realized when trying to use it to authenticate to some app/service. The issue is, that you have to manually sync the iOS app to get a timely update. i.e., the problem must be with me, not their product. All they could offer me is that many things can cause this issue. I finally opened a service request with them. For years I put up with it, read all the user complaints as a constant issue. I've been happy with Bitwarden except for one glaring issue, and I got tired of it not being resolved. I've been a Bitwarden premium subscriber for a few years (only $10) but have recently switched to 1Password. We'll always be marked by an official flair, and will always love both 1Password and you. You'll see some friendly people from the 1Password team ready to help you - keep an eye out for /u/1PasswordCS-Blake, /u/agben, u/Zatara214, and more of us!
